On 3rd day of July, 2010, the inauguration party was held by Germany’s Lake Constance Navigation Company „BSB“ for their new flagship „ÜBERLINGEN“. The vessel was built by ÖSWAG in Linz/Danube at a price of approx. EUR 8 million, it was welded together in Fussach/Lake Constance and finally equipped at the BSB-piers of Friedrichshafen. With a length of 58.2 meters and a beam of 12.22 meters, the new 3-deck vessel is approved for 700 persons; the displacement is 480 metric tons. As most vessels of the Lake Constance fleet it is equipped with
preventive fire protection from bst. The vessel has 2 Schottel built rudderpropellers, driven by 2 Scania made diesels of 386 kW each, which enable a maximum speed of 26 km per hour. The supremely aesthetic and dignified interior decoration has been supplied by the internationally respected Innsbruck workshops of Heinrich Auer.
