On 29 April 2008 the spiritual father and founder of bst-Döpfl, Rudolf Döpfl, passed away in his 82nd year, having suffered from a severe illness patiently and with great countenance. The bst team mourns a loving man who had been a respected, inventive, broadminded and ideal senior director. When he founded bst-Döpfl in 1976, chance would have it that MCT Brattberg offered him the agency general for Austria. Thus, the company’s direction was determined and the entire Döpfl family became experts in the field of cable and pipe sealings and constructional fire protection. In 1981 MCT Brattberg cancelled the representation agreement and the idea was born to develop an own, new, improved product. The bst modular system came into being. At the beginning of the 1990s the management was handed over to Wolfgang, his son, and already then international business with many related products and services was in full flow.
Within the next years the bst development „Quick-Fix TCM“ was the big success worldwide and sizeable market shares in the fields of marine, offshore, onshore and telecom industry were gained despite strong competition. Rudolf Döpfl took special pride in the fact that also his grandson Florian started to work for the company in 2005. With a wonderful and moving celebration we commemorated the 80th birthday of Rudolf Döpfl and the 30th anniversary of the company in June 2006. We will keep our senior director in good memory. He will always remain a model to us guiding our daily work. Thank you for all you gave!
